Plant care matching network for busy plant parents
A two-sided marketplace connecting plant owners with their ideal plants based on care capacity and home conditions, then pairing them with a community-driven plant care network (plant sitters, local plant swaps, expert advice) that prevents plant death through shared responsibility rather than solo tracking.
The problem
Plant owners kill plants because they cannot track different watering schedules, don't know which plants match their lifestyle, and have no support network when life gets busy. Tracking apps fail because they require daily logging and don't solve the root problem: matching the right plant to the right person, and creating a safety net when the owner cannot care for it.
Who has it: People aged 22-45 who own 3+ indoor plants, kill plants regularly, travel or work unpredictably, and live in urban or suburban areas with plant-owning communities nearby.
Why now: Indoor plant sales have grown 50% in the last 5 years; Gen Z and millennial plant ownership is at an all-time high. Remote work, travel, and life chaos make solo plant care unrealistic for millions. Community-based care (plant sitters, plant-sitting exchanges, local swaps) is growing on Reddit and TikTok but has no platform.
